GSM Folding Chair

This project aims to address the challenges encountered by tennis clubs regarding temporary seating solutions by creating a purpose-built folding tennis chair that prioritises stability, durability, and efficiency. Drawing inspiration from the Niehoff Sitzmobel 1960's chair, our goal is to integrate a four-point linkage mechanism to ensure stability on flat surfaces and a seamless folding process. With an emphasis on minimising storage space and avoiding disruptions in gameplay, our design is tailored for outdoor tennis courts exposed to diverse weather conditions and caters to users of all skill levels, from novices to seasoned players and spectators, making it ideal for shared use during breaks or while observing matches.
